Charge batteries.
Get CF card, have a spare
Flash, if required. New batteries.
Decide on appropriate lenses. Zoom, standard or macro.
Camera and bag
notes if required
Visit Chelsea
Take Photos
Casual shoot. Taken 180 pics
Download onto PC. iphoto
Crop and make any duplicates
Transfer all to Lightroom
Make all adjustments to exposure, tone, brightness etc...
Flag favourites - which are now on my Blog as short list
Export back to iphoto
Make further cropping amendments
Make a shortlist
Finally choose 12 for assignment. These to follow below.

FINAL 12 PICTURES FOR ASSIGNMENT

I had a lot of pictures to choose from, 180, and made a short list of 15. These 15 gave me a good overview of the actual Chelsea Show, and gives a feel of all that is going on during the day. Although there was no specific pictures to take I have kept in mind that I would be using these pictures for an advertising project. I wanted to show the colourful people and gardens, celebrities, pensioners. Im pleased with the photos that I have, they would have been suitable for a client.

I feel that for this assignment I have worked orderly and had a good workflow. It is how I have worked in the past so felt quite natural for me, and I like to be organised. However saying this - battery charging was an issue for me in the beginning - forgetting to do it on a regular basis. I have overcome this thankfully.

For me the picture taking of this assignment was relaxed as no specific spec. But I am unable to return to Chelsea for any retakes so that maybe a problem, but as this assignment doesn't go to assessment im hoping it will be OK. I have taken plenty of shots so have an army of standbys.

I found this an enjoyable assignment.
